“Magic” is taking a smaller, more intimate gathering and delivering a massive event. “Magic” is also taking those grand scale events and creating an intimate atmosphere where everyone feels they are a part of it. There is a lot of “noise” out there in our world and you need to be heard above it all; YOUR message matters, therefore YOU need to weave a multi-media tapestry that covers everything. Humans react immediately when you stimulate sight, sound, taste and feel; an event with great food, stunning visuals and lighting, a sound system that embraces the whole space and a host that brings it all together so everyone feels they are a part of something awesome; THAT is the STUDIO ECHO magic.

Christopher Mei
Studio ECHO Director
Christopher Mei has as complex a story to tell as you can imagine. Having lived in Canada, the US, Saudi Arabia, the Caribbean, and traveled to over 40 different additional countries for work or pleasure; Christopher Mei has a firm grasp of the world and how to live in it. He has the ability to adapt and pivot with changing situations and there is no better example of that than what he provides every organization who has hired him as their Master of Ceremonies for their big and expensive events. His word-of-mouth reference success is thanks to his command of time, an audience, and the events agenda. All too often we face several moving parts as an event is well underway; but can you or your choice in host pivot in the moment to accommodate the change and present it seamlessly with the pace of the event as if that was the way it was supposed to be with no one the wiser? Christopher Mei plays the role of stage manager, assistant event director, liaison with the service staff while also controlling the mood and energy of your room and also making sure to keep the event on time.
“Nothing is worse for any organization than an event running so far over the time advertised that those in attendance do not buy tickets for the next one; this malady has ended more great ideas and cost more great causes than I care to think of”.
Christopher has a healthy professional resume that includes commercial radio, local and national television host, writer/producer/host of a commercial podcast and now Media Producer / Teacher with MEI Academy, World High School, founded by his Cousin Joe Mei and his wife Rita in 1997.

Live Streaming
Our global economy is only as vast as our imagination and technology will allow. A product launch, awards presentation, fundraiser, or company celebration affects everyone in the company regardless of who they are or where they are in the world. Studio ECHO streams an HD resolution feed so that no matter where the viewer is or what they are watching you on, they feel that they too are as much a part of your event as those physically in attendance. PLUS, Studio ECHO can also take the feed form all individual cameras and edit a version of your event that you can keep and use for future promotional purposes.
Interviews + Podcasting
There are more people today consuming news, sports, entertainment, business and educational information through podcasts than ever before and it is taking over for traditional radio with the dissolving of many AM radio stations and more centrally formated FM stations. The consumption of online audio books, stories, comedy, drama and thriller media is as popular now as in the days before television! There are very few popular personalities of radio, TV and movies who do not also have an online presence so it is now a more widely acceptable medium for YOU to tell YOUR story, keep your customers up to date with what you are doing and working on for them. You do not need to be a “teller of tall tales” to have a podcast, you need only a story that you wish to tell. Studio ECHO works with industry professionals with years of experience in everything from the writing to the recording, production and ultimately the broadcast of your “show”. We will work with you from conception of ideas to reception of the metrics from your production.
Master of Ceremonies/Emcee
Christopher Mei has been a Master of Ceremonies, Emcee and Host since 1997 when he worked for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. Since those beginnings, he has developed a specialty for black-tie galas while also maintaining a sharp command of every other style of event from biz-cas to beach party! Chris spent years emceeing in several clubs throughout the GTA, while still being hired for Hospital Charity galas. He says “the two are not that opposite; both parties ultimately want the same thing: everyone to have a great time, spend money, and leave with a wanting to do it again”. He goes on to say “I gauge my success based on the ticket sales the next year or the next time”. Studio ECHO has a network that opens a door to other options for Masters of Ceremonies, Emcees, and Hosts of public events and depending on budget, that roster is extensive.
Event Planning
We have been a part of planning events, both intimate and grand, since 1997 so we have lived through everything that worked well and also what should never be tried again. If you had a crystal ball to see the future, you’d have the best advantage to to the best job on the first try; Studio ECHO is your “crystal ball”. You have a budget to do the best job possible, ECHO will make your dollar go further while also not wasting a cent or minute of your valuable and limited time. We have a network we have collectively built up over our years so when we say all-in, we mean ALL-in.
Event Photography + Videography
Photos are not “pictures”, they are memories. Anyone can “take a picture”, it takes a professional with a well-trained eye to “capture a moment frozen in time that will now last forever”. There are “shooters” and then there are “photographers”, Studio ECHO has access to both, depending on your event and vision. Our shooters are essential for sports, concerts, and generally any style event where there is a lot of run-and-gun photography, hence the term “shooter”. Our photographers are specialists in controlled environs where guests are seated, mingling or standing for portraits and all otherwise polished, well lit and balanced productions.
